Psynei/Psyjin of Kul Tiras-EU/Spinebreaker-EU was one of those rare players who only played one class. Shamans were his thing, and he stuck to them, through Horde and Alliance. But deep inside, he always yearned to play a paladin. When the blood knights were blessed with the true light by A'dal in patch 2.4, Psynei figured it was a sign to try finding the light on his own new belfadin. Coming out of the blood elf starting area, he saw this sunrise and interpreted it as a good omen for his future as a blood knight. And looking at the lucky so-and-so's Armory, I'd say his premonition of good fortune has come true (possibly with the help of some level 70 friends with a lot of time on their hands.)

Just another beta screenshot, you say? Fools! This screenshot is actually from the end of Naxxramas -- it's apparently the portal to Northrend that the Icecrown Guardians flee through after you beat Kel'Thuzad into the ground. Considering the percentage of current players who have killed KT, I won't be surprised if very few people recognize this. Heck, my guild fell apart at C'thun.

We'll all get to see Naxxramas in the expansion, but three guilds on The Sha'tar-EU -- Athanatoi, Dark Glare, and A Perfect Circle -- decided that they couldn't wait. They combined forces to get a bunch of players attuned for Naxxramas and then stormed the place, scoring a server first kill of Kel'Thuzad just a few weeks ago. Senya of <Athanatoi> snapped this shot of the victorious raid staring into the portal, no doubt proud of their still-rare accompishment.

The failoc, an unofficial symbol of all that went wrong with BlizzCon's ticketing process this year, has appeared in everything from player-created games to t-shirts. But Fawxy of Trollbane decided to go a step farther and bring the failoc to the Stormwind Bank. This failoc features a full BlizzCon murloc suit, a tiny little flag, and the BlizzCon motto, "An error has occured."

Say what you will about the addition of blood elves to the Horde, but they've certainly opened up some interesting dating possibilities. Alisha left her blood elf bank alt sitting on a bench in Silvermoon City while she went AFK. On her return, she found that her banker had been befriended by an ambitious orc in her absence. Alisha managed to snap a quick pic before her embarassed paramour ran away. He might have been more successful in a tux with some flowers -- I doubt that blood elf girls are attracted by bearskin outfits. Then again, as a troll with a tauren boyfriend, I can't really judge.

Wow, the standards for Azerothian holy water have gotten pretty low. This spring in Stranglethorn Vale, the source of the Holy Spring Water, is grossly contaminated with skeletal remains. (It's easier to see in the larger version.) But when you consider that all the other water sources in Azeroth are full of murlocs, naga, makrura, and other humanoid races that have not yet evolved to the point of building lavatories, a skeleton in the water is probably the least of your worries. Astrael of <Saga> on Boulderfist is a better man (or gnome) than most of us -- instead of playing the beta 24/7, he let his roommate have a go at Northrend. His roommate repaid him by repeatedly jumping off of Dalaran into Crystalsong Forest. It cost a couple Light Feathers, but it paid off in this beautiful screenshot. As much as I loved the Burning Crusade, there was one thing I really missed -- dragons. After spending so many hours working on UBRS, Onyxia, Blackwing Lair, the world dragons, and all the neat individual dragon-related questlines, moving to the non-reptilian world of Draenor left a hollow spot in my gaming experience. So I'm very pleased that dragon-related questlines will be back in Wrath of the Lich King.

In this picture, taken by beta tester Menelven, blue dragonflight leader and creepy kidnapper Malygos hovers over the land of Coldarra, along with a few red dragons. Does Malygos look familiar? Well, he's got the exact same model as pre-BC bossman Azuregos. WoWWiki speculates that Malygos will probably get his own, unique model in time for the Wrath release, much like Sunwell boss Kalecgos.

As the old saying goes, it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness. So when Songstone of <Terror Australis> on Korgath found herself in an inky-black part of Blackrock Depths, she pulled out a pair of torches. Given the garishness of pre-60 clothing, the glowing enchants and the fluorescentness of night elf/draenei skin, Songstone and her companions quickly became visible. And in that pose, they look like some kind of campy crime-fighting team. Ladies, I have a mission for you -- get out of BRD and never come back.

I must confess that due to my habit of playing WoW with the sound turned off, I've never actually heard the music of Level 10 60 70 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. In case you didn't know, L70ETC is a group of Blizzard employees who recorded some Blizzard-property-related songs and are now represented in-game as a Horde hair metal band. Lead singer Samuro is actually art director Sam Didier; bassist Mai'Kyl is Blizzard president Mike Morhaime; and so on and so forth. Vindonnus of Stormreaver took this particular pic of Chief Thunder-Skins (aka longtime Blizzardite Alan Dabiri) as the band played their hourly show at the World's End Tavern in Shattrath City.

After the 2.3 implementation of a quest and some tailoring patterns that create a full Mariachi outfit, we have been besieged by more pictures of sombrero-clad drunks than the producers of Girls Gone Wild: Spring Break. This particular selection showcases a sleeping dwarf (Lockdanon), an overly alert draenei (Soba), and two bored, disguised blood elves (human Gerras and draenei picture-taker Jhana), all of <smug lyfe> on Sen'jin. You'd think that dressing up as a blood elf would be considered a capital crime among draenei, but apparently not. Or perhaps it's just too hot a day to die.
